Isaura J. Ferreira, 67, of Fall River, wife of Jose Luis Ferreira, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lusinde Penalva do Castelo, Viseu, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Serafim and Palmira (deJesus) Ferreira. Isaura was a good-hearted woman who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed watching movies and the Portuguese Channel. She also had very strong faith and was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church for many years. Besides her husband of forty-three years, she leaves: her children, Susy Gendreau and her husband Donald, Jr. of Fall River and Steven Ferreira and his wife Jennifer of Dighton; six grandchildren, Corey Gendreau, Paisley Ferreira, Kylie Ferreira, Alyssa Gendreau, Brody Ferreira, and Allie Ferreira; two sisters, Albertina Anunciacao and her husband Elisio and Maria Conceição Ferreira and her husband Joao Maria of Portugal; a brother, Antonio Ferreira and his wife Kathy of Rhode Island; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joao Ferreira. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 11th, in Santo Christo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
