Jacqueline (Bernier) Stapleton, 72, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1st, 2022.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette (Bastille) Bernier.

She was selfless, resilient and devoted to her life callings as a nurse, parishioner, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jacqueline worked for many years as an RN at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  She was an active parishioner of Holy Name Church, which was her spiritual home for decades and where she enjoyed participating in the choir and prayer group.

Jacqueline was the wife of the late Thomas J. Stapleton, the mother of Ryan T. Stapleton and his wife Debora of Medway, MA, the late Alison J. Stapleton, and the late Kathleen E. Dube and her husband Nathan Dube of Fall River, MA.  She was an ever present and proud grandmother to Tessa and Kyra, 'her girls'.  She is also survived by her siblings, Jerry Bernier of Swansea, Elaine Bernier of Fall River, and Roger Bernier of North Dartmouth, along with several nieces and  nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday September 8th, 2022, at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., from 9:00am to 10:00am with her Mass of Christian Burial to follow in Holy Name Church at 11:00am. Interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
