Obituary

James A. Arnaldo, 92, of Tiverton, RI, husband of the late Frances (Gaudette) Arnaldo, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late James Arnaldo and the late Dorilda (Blais) Arnaldo.

As a young boy living in the Flint section of Fall River, he loved going fishing with his father on Watuppa Pond. He was always making model planes. He had many fish tanks and loved tinkering with the old Admiral TV, holding up a mirror to check whether the picture was clear.

Before becoming Pastor of the Living Church of God for 65 years, he worked at Woolworth's 5 & 10, Fall River Knitting Mills, and supervised the custodial staff at a university in Ashland, Massachusetts.

He loved fishing and being with his family. He also loved being with the brethren of The Living Church of God. He served them for many years, answering Biblical questions & guiding them in Christian living. He always seemed so happy when asked to help. His favorite place to dine was Sakonnet River Grille.

He met his wife while in the Army, stationed on Cape Cod, and it was love at first sight! He had a wonderful marriage until her death in 2005.

James is survived by his grandson Liam Arnaldo, niece Dora Lee Boyd, dear friend Robin Taborelli, and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sons, Mark T. Arnaldo and Michael J. Arnaldo, and his siblings Dorothy A. Morin and Roger W. Arnaldo.
