Obituary

James S. Domingos, 80, of 240 Barnes St., Fall River passed away Sturday December 13, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the widower of Agnes (Cabral) Domingos. Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Manuel (Curley) and Palmira (Gaspar) Domingos. Mr. Domingos was a Korean War veteran and served many years as a Master Sergeant in the Army National Guard Corps of Engineers. A carpenter by trade, he was a self employed general contractor for over 25 years and later was foreman for Tilly Realty Company supervising many local textile mill renovation projects. Before his retirement in 1993 he also worked as a security guard for local security services. He was an avid history buff and his hobbies included woodworking and home improvement projects. He is survived by two brothers, Antone (Dingo) Domingos and his wife Daisy of Fall River and Joseph Domingos and his wife Louise of Swansea, goddaughters Catherine Domingos of Fall River and Kristina Domingos of Tiverton, several nieces and nephews as well as longtime friends and caregivers, George and Barbara Audette of Fall River. Per his request, his funeral was private. However, a Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a future date.
