James S. Farias, Jr., 70, of Westport, husband of Lisa (Barlow) Farias, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the comforts of his home following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late James S. Farias, Sr. and the late Albertina (Mello) Farias.

Prior to his retirement he was a presser in the local textile industry for many years. From a very young age, James had a passion for music, playing the guitar in many bands throughout the local area. He also enjoyed fishing and, most importantly, spending quality time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his loving wife of forty-two years, he leaves his daughter, Jessica Horsman and her husband, Russell, of Fall River; his two grandsons, Ethan Horsman and Ryan Horsman; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Geraldine Ireland.

His private burial took place on Wednesday, January 19th, at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in James memory to Accent Hospice, 275 Martine St., #109, Fall River, MA 02723.
