James Cooper, Jr., 74, formerly of Fourth St., passed away Tuesday at the Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, son of the late James and Beatrice Cooper. A Vietnam veteran, he served 17 years in the US Marine Corps before a medical retirement. Jim was a past commander of the DAV Post in Fall River and a member of the War Veterans Council. Beloved father of Thomas J. (wife – Claudette), Michael J. (wife – Melissa) and Donald J. Cooper; grandfather of Jonathan and Jeffrey Cooper; brother of the late Elizabeth Cookson. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 9, in Holy Name Church followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery.
