James Edward Tolley

   James E. Tolley, 68, of East Freetown, husband of Susan M. (Andrade) Tolley, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Norman E. Tolley and the late Yvette (Lapre) Abrams, formerly Tolley.

   An EMT manager with EaseCare Ambulance Service for many years, Jim enjoyed golf, football, baseball, and camping. He served his country honorably in the Navy for four years after graduating from Joseph Case High School, Class of 1976.

   Besides his wife, of 18 years, he is survived by: three stepchildren, Randall, Andrea, and Brian Botelho; two sisters, Norma-Jean Toti (husband David) of Loudon, TN, and Doreen A. Tolley of Swansea; niece, Nicole, & nephews, Niel, Mark, and Curtis. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Janice M. Carr-Lyons.

   Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Private burial of cremains will follow at a later time in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
