James Vaillancourt, 72, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center, Fall River. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Lawrence Vaillancourt and Mildred (Paradise) Vaillancourt, he had worked as a welder in the local construction industry for many years.

He is survived by: two daughters, Wendy Hendrix of Coltons Point, Maryland, and Lisa LeaSure (husband J.D. LeaSure) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren, Dustin Hendrix and Larissa Carmine; several nieces & nephews, and cherished friends. He was also the father of the late Jay Vaillancourt; the brother of the late Larry Vaillancourt; and former spouse of Marilee Francis.
