James Venancio, 88, of Middleboro, husband of Jeanne (Lizotte) Venancio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel P. Venancio and the late Georgianna (Motta) Venancio.

Prior to his retirement he was a machine operator at Plymouth Rubber for many years. A United States Army Veteran, he proudly and bravely served our Country during the Korean Era. He loved making wishing wells, gardening, camping, and fishing.  He was a very happy, kind, and always-positive man who will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. But most notably, James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending quality time with all of them.

Besides his wife, he leaves: his children, Neal Venancio and his long-time companion, Kathy Sherring, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Laurie Balme and her husband, William, of North Dighton, and Cynthia Kibbler of Concord, Massachusetts; his three granddaughters, Stephanie Plutzner, Emily Kibbler, and Margaret Kibbler; one great-grandson, Matthew Plutzner; a brother, George Venancio of Los Angeles, California; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Manuel, Antone, and Frank Venancio and the late Bella Silvia.

His funeral arrangements were private.
