Janice M. (Blackburn) Grady, 86, of Fall River, died Friday, January 27, 2012 with her loving and dedicated family present. She was the loving wife of Bill Grady for 66 years. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Fire Capt. James & Kathryn (Murray) Blackburn, she was a Class of 1943 graduate of BMC Durfee HS. Following WWII she married and resided in Swansea until Hurricane Carol struck in 1954, moving back to Fall River. Cherished mother of William Grady (Diana), Kathryn Theroux (William), Peggy Christiansen (Eric), Janice Janelle (Randy), Nancy McNaughton (Jim) & Debra Hamilton (Richard), she enjoyed cooking, reading, the Red Sox, & spending time with her family, including 15 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces & nephews; and was sister of the late Violet White, Doris Eastwood, and Edward, Kathryn, John & James Blackburn. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Name Church. She was laid to rest at St Patrick Cemetery. In her memory, donations can be made to Swansea Police Assoc. or Swansea Veterans Assoc.
