Jean Andrew, 58, of Fall River, long-time companion of Pedro Soares, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late David Teixeira and the late Alice (Ponte) Teixeira.

She loved dining out, Pop 80's and Country music, the beach, and swimming. She also very much enjoyed long rides and traveling throughout New England. Most notably, despite her physical struggles, Jean had a great sense of humor, an incredibly contagious laugh, and would always be willing and eager to help anyone in need.

Besides her long-time companion of twenty-five years, she leaves her loving sister, Ann Carreiro and her husband, Eduardo Mota, of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Susan Teixeira, Janet Garcia, and Diane Amaral and granddaughter of the late Alice "Vavo" Ponte.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, July 30th, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport, followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
