Jean Louis Beaupre, the husband of Agnes (Alves) Beaupre, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence at the age of eighty-nine. Jean was born in Fall River, son of the late Jean Baptist and Rose (Gallant) Beaupre.  He was the Vice President/ General Manager of Ideal Laundry. Upon retiring in 1986, he became the owner of Abrite Cleaners until 1996. Besides his wife of 66 years, he leaves his two sons: Stephen Beaupre and his wife Linda of Tiverton and Darren Beaupre of Westport. He was the grandfather of Jonathan Beaupre, Joshua Beaupre, Liam Beaupre and Myles Beaupre and eleven nieces and seven nephews. Jean was the brother of the late Albert Beaupre, Rene Beaupre, Evangeline Paquette, Odile Michaud, Pauline Clapin, and Simone Manchester.

After graduating from Prevost High School and prior to his marriage to Agnes, Jean served 2 years with the US Navy in WWII on the Destroyer ISBEL in the South Pacific. Upon his return, Jean continued his education in becoming a certified Watch maker and Jeweler. In further expanding his Sales Career, he then became a graduate of the Dale Carnegie School of Business which then awarded him the position of VP / General Manager of Ideal Laundry for over 35 years. In his "retirement" years with his family's support, Jean became the owner of Abrite Cleaners while celebrating the birth of his first grandson Jonathan. Jean Louis's life was full and rich in his Catholic Christian Faith and fellowship with many members of the "CURSILLO" of LaSallete of the Fall River Diocese. DeColores! As a member of Holy Name Church he was a Eucharistic Minister and was awarded the Marion Medal. He managed numerous fund raising events for the benefit of the Church and School. He later enjoyed his time in Christian fellowship with the "Men of Saint Joseph" of the RI Diocese. With his family and friends Jean always enjoyed skiing, camping, fishing and dancing. With his wife Agnes they also enjoyed cruises, yard sales, antique collecting, frequenting the Casinos and, of course, "Black Jack".

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, September 18th, in Holy Name Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
