Demilio
d. Mar 20, 2019
Acushnet
Jeanne A. DeMilio, 83, of Acushnet, wife of Ronald A. DeMilio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 20, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel Bernier and Belmira (Martelo) Antoon. She was a homemaker and avid reader who had passions for cooking, baking, antiquing, crafting, the holidays, being fancy and dining out. She was known for her snazzy personal style, delicious secret recipes, quick wit, elegant handwriting, affection for Schnauzers and an infectiously compassionate spirit. Jeanne also enjoyed traveling, to such places as Europe, Thailand, Jamaica, Acapulco, the Dominican Republic, Margarita Island and more. Jeanne was a devout Catholic who attended Mass on a regular basis and was very involved in all parish activities. She was also a Eucharistic Minister, lector, member of the Bereavement Committee, and volunteered in the school library and kitchen on Bingo night. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family. Besides her husband of sixty-five years, she leaves her son, Michael DeMilio and his wife Ann of Acushnet; three grandchildren, Jessica DeMilio, Courtney DeMilio and the late James Michael DeMilio; two great-grandsons, Jayce White and Jett White; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 28th, in St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet.
