Jeanne E. Gizzi, 77, widow of Carl F. Gizzi, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, unexpectedly. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Wilbrod D. Cote and the late Elizabeth (Gosciminski) Cote.

A paraprofessional in the Westport school system for a number of years, Jeanne taught special education until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, bird watching, the Red Sox, going to the casinos, traveling, and spending time with family.

She is survived by: a daughter, Elizabeth A. Almeida of Fall River; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Marissa; and three nieces. Jeanne was also the mother of the late David Kut and Lisa Kut; and the sister of the late Carol Gonsalves.

Her Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, January 10th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
