Sgt. Jeffrey Cowell, 51, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday. He was the husband of Micaela M. Benigno-Cowell, with whom he shared seven years of marriage. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Constance "Connie" (Leonardo) & Frank Fennely of Swansea. Jeffrey was a corrections officer at the Bridgewater State Hospital for many years. Besides his wife and parents, his survivors include a son, Jeffrey Cowell, II of Fall River; step-son, Kelby Costa of Florida; brothers, William Cowell and his wife Marcy of Dighton, Bryan Cowell of Lowell and Jason Fennelly of Swansea; a granddaughter, Raelyn Costa; and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 2nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
