Jeffrey B. Fonseca, 32, of Swansea, passed away Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the beloved son of William R. and Cheryl A. (LePage) Fonseca. Jeff graduated Joseph Case High School in 2002, where he excelled at both baseball and soccer and was named co-captain of their 2001 soccer team. He started playing baseball at the Swansea Independent Baseball League and over the years was on numerous youth All-Star teams culminating in a trip to New Jersey with the Swansea Little League 14-year-olds after they won their regionals. Jeff went on to earn a business degree from Bristol Community College and his FINRA Series 7 license, enabling him to work in the financial services field. He was the brother of James R. Fonseca (wife-April); grandson of Rene LePage, Virginia Fonseca, Louise M. LePage and the late William Fonseca; uncle of James W. and Abigail Rose Fonseca. Jeff also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins. A private funeral service was held on Wenesday, September 28th, in our Somerset Chapel followed by a visitation period for relatives and friends. Jeff had a generous heart and truly loved his family and friends. In keeping with his spirit of generosity, his family has donated Jeff's organs so that others may live.
