Obituary

Jeffrey Stickney, 54, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025 following a long illness.

A 1989 graduate of Somerset High School he leaves behind a legacy of service, loyalty, and love. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Jeffrey honorably served his country during Operation Desert Storm, embodying strength, resilience, and unwavering patriotism.
A lifelong enthusiast of New England sports, Jeffrey found joy in cheering on his favorite teams, never missing a chance to celebrate a big win or debate the latest play. His passion brought people together and was a source of connection with friends and family alike. Jeffrey is survived by his siblings, Paula Silva, James Stickney, Robert Stickney, and Mary Elizabeth Stickney. He also leaves behind nephews, Justin and Brandon Silva and niece, Hailey Almeida, along with two great nieces who will carry forward his spirit.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Mary Louise Stickney and father William J. Stickney.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered for his loyalty, his pride in his service, and his sense of humor.

A Catholic Wake Service was held on Monday, June 16th, during a visitation period in our Somerset chapel. His cremains were laid to rest privately with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jeffrey's memory to the Homeless Veterans Fund or a Veterans' organization of your choice.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support.
