Jennifer S. Freitas, 39, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at home. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of Lucy (Silva) Freitas of Warren, RI, and the late John C. Freitas.

A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State University. Jennifer was planning on continuing her education to pursue her master's degree. She was employed as a social worker at Child and Family Services of New Bedford.

A sweet, kind, and gentle soul, Jennifer was a beacon of light who always put others, her family and friends, before herself. With a fun-loving and positive energy, she had a smile that would light up a room. Jennifer enjoyed helping people, was passionate about her job, and loved working with her colleagues and clients.

Besides her mother, she is survived by: two siblings, Derick J. Freitas of Fall River and Kathy Damaso (husband Steven) of Somerset; a nephew, Aiden C. Damaso; Uncle Manuel Silva (& wife) of St. Michael; Aunt Zelia Cunha of Rhode Island; and many cousins.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 24th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
