Jeremias M. Freitas, 75, husband of Maria "Nica" Freitas passed away at home on August 18, 2019. Mr. Freitas was born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, and was a son of the late Juvenal Freitas and the late Maria Conceicao (Pavao) Freitas. He was a plumber all of his life and was a member of Espirito Santo Church. Jeremias was very well known in Fall River as the "Boss" and everyone knew him as "the plumber guy".

Besides his wife of fifty-four years, he is survived by: three daughters, Madalena Arruda and her husband, Manuel, Ana Tavares and her husband, Arthur, and Suzana Potter and her companion, Nilton Felix, all of Fall River; five grandchildren, Jordan Potter, Chelsea Arruda, Kyle Potter, Garrett Arruda and Juliana Tavares ; three siblings, Juvenal Santos of Canada, George Freitas and Fatima Pacheco, both of the Azores; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Fernando Freitas.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 23rd, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.
