Jerrold L. Tooley, 82, longtime resident of Taunton, husband of 35 years to Lillian (Wahl) Tooley, died Wednesday, August 24th at Taunton Nursing Home. Born in Hastings, Nebraska, he was a son of the late Floyd and Martha (Means) Tooley. A ship fitter at Fortier Boats in Somerset for many years, he was also a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Beloved father of Jerrold, Jr and Jeffrey Tooley, Janet Marier, Judith Cooper, Donna and David Charron. Jerry also leaves a stepson, Peter Sliwa, and a step-daughter and caregiver, Katherine Medeiros, as well as nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren. He was also brother of the late Robert, Edith, Mildred, Ronald and Wayne Tooley. His Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 27th, in our Somerset Chapel followed by his committal with military honors at Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
