Joan Larrivee, 88, of Fall River, widow of the late Albert Larrivee Jr., passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Jose Arruda and the late Edith (Pimental) Arruda.

Prior to retirement, Joan worked as a teacher's aide in the Special Education Department at BMC Durfee High School. She enjoyed cooking, going to the casino and traveling.

Joan is survived by her children: Brenda Larrivee, of Fall River and Jennifer Larrivee, of Fall River; daughter-in-law: Rose Larrivee, of Westport; grandchildren: Kate, Drew and Michael; siblings: Raymond Arruda and wife Beverly, of Fall River, Richard Arruda and his wife Nancy, of the Villages, FL and Ronald Arruda and his companion Joyce, of Fall River; sister-in-law Jeannie Arruda; many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her sons Michael and Eric Larrivee and her siblings Joseph Arruda, Walter Arruda, John Arruda, James Arruda, Thomas Arruda, Delores Denardo, Barbara Augustine and Natalie Raposo.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Visitation to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered in Santo Cristo Church at 10:00 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
