Joanne E, Noyes-Carey, 86, of Fall River, formerly of Mohawk Rd, Somerset, wife of John T. Carey, passed away on April 2, 2025, at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fall River. Born in Newburyport, MA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Noyes and the late Estelle (Burfitt) Noyes.

Prior to her retirement in 2004, Joanne was employed as a sales associate with Guardian Insurance for twenty years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Swansea. Joanne was also a member of the Somerset Library Knitting Club and enjoyed singing in many choirs and choral groups over the years.

Besides her husband of 34 years, she is survived by: three children, Stephen Megquier (wife Dawn) of Weymouth, MA, Brian Megquier (wife Kimberly) of Conklin, NY, and Amy J. Ciesielski (husband Steven) of No. Dighton; stepchildren, Rose Marsh Wagner and Forest Marsh, Jr.; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Joseph Carey. Joanne was predeceased by two daughters, Leslie Bonfiglio and Emily Ciesielski, a sister, Jeanne Carey, and grandchildren, Scott Megquier, Caitlin Megquier, Dominic Bonfiglio and Sophia Bonfiglio.

Following a private cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th, during a visitation period in our Somerset Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Joanne's memory to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St, Fall River, MA 02721; 508-677-9154.
