Joao Medeiros Branco

   Joao M. Branco, 82, of Fall River, husband of Maria F. (Pacheco) Branco, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Faial da Terra, St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Joao Correia and the late Cisaltina (Branco) Correia, he emigrated to Fall River in 1977.

   He was employed in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 1977. Joao was a longtime active member of the Madeira Club on Alden Street where he enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. He also enjoyed fishing.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by: his daughter, Lina M Pinhal (husband Luis) of Fall River; a sister, Olinda M. Silva of Fall River; four grandchildren, Christopher, Chantel, Brianna, and Cameron; two great grandchildren, Elias and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews. Joao was predeceased by his son, Carlos Branco, and his sister, Lina Oliveira.

   Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass to be offered on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 am. (There will be no gathering at the funeral home.)
