Joao C. Brum, 59, of Fall River and husband of Maria (DeSa) Brum, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2021 following a long illness. Born in St. Vicente Ferreira, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Brum and the late Maria do Carmo Pereira (Duarte) Brum.

He loved cooking, gardening, and watching the Portuguese Channel. A hard worker and an excellent provider for his family, he was also a handyman and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Besides his loving wife of twenty-five years, he leaves his children, Amy Maria Brum and her fiancé, Daniel Cotto, and Brian Carlos Brum, both of Fall River; his granddaughter, Anayah Cotto; his two sisters, Maria Eduarda Duarte Brum and Fatima Duarte Brum; his two brothers, Jose Luis Duarte Brum and Eduardo Miguel Duarte Brum; and many nieces and nephews.

His Private Funeral was held on Tuesday, December 21st, from our Fall River Chapel with His Funeral Mass in Santo Christo Church followed by his private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
