Joao M. Cabral, 68, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday. Husband of Maria J. (Cabral) Cabral. Born in Relva, St. Michael, Azores, son of Conceicao (Araujo) Cabral and the late Francisco Cabral. For over 20 years, Joao was a foreman at CB Brito Utility in Bristol, RI. He was an avid Benfica fan, belonged to the St. John's Athletic Club and greatly enjoyed spending time at home with his family. Besides his wife and mother, Joao is survived by his daughters, Susana Costa (husband – John) of Fall River, Sandra Goncalves (husband – Paulo "Butchy") of Fall River and Patricia Britland (husband – Daniel) of Westport; a brother, Jose Cabral of Fall River; grandchildren, Alex John Costa, Alexis Kendra Goncalves and Kahlani Britland; and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Isabel Fagundo. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 26, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
