Joao Branco Carreiro, 93, of Bowler St., passed away Wednesday after a short illness. Husband of the late Maria (Aguiar) Carreiro. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel Branco and Maria Carreiro. He enjoyed gardening. Father of Manuel Branco (wife – Palmira), Dennis Carreiro and Dialina Gamache (husband – Don); grandfather of Nelson and Jason Branco, Andrea Caouette, Monica Carreiro, Shannete and Everett Gamache and the late Joel Carreiro; great grandfather of Tehya, Marisa, Mariah, Jordan, Ashton, Rafael, Benicio and Joel; brother of the late Manuel, Norberto and Honorato Branco, Maria Branco, Gloria Cabral and Deolinda Silva. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, December 5, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
