Joao M. Cordeiro, 65, of Fall River, husband of Maria (Gomes) Cordeiro, passed away at St. Anne's Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2019 after a period of declining health. Born in Santa Clara, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jaime and Maria (Correira) Cordeiro. Besides his wife forty-two years, he leaves:  his children, Ana Frizado (Keith), Sandy Cordeiro (Pat), Amanda Raposa, Ricardo Raposa, and Jordan Raposa, all of Fall River; ten grandchildren; brothers, Jaime M. Cordeiro of Dartmouth, Mario Cordeiro of St. Michael, Tony Cordeiro of Lakeville, Duarte Cordeiro and Joe Cordeiro, both of Fall River; sisters, Lillian Rodrigues and Susan Amaral, both of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Johnny Raposa. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 8th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
