Joao M. Francisco, 67, of Fall River and former husband of Connie Correia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Francisco and the late Maria (DaSilva) Martins.

Prior to his retirement, he worked in maintenance in the local textile industry for many years. An avid soccer fan he loved watching his favorite team, Porto. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and Pink Floyd. But most important to Joao was spending quality time with family, especially his grandson.

Besides his former wife, he leaves: his two daughters, Iesha Collins and her husband, Timothy, of Westport, and Katelyn Francisco of Fall River; his grandson, Ronan Collins; one sister, Lucinda Martins of Portugal; his three brothers, Fernando Francisco and his wife, Mary, Mario Martins, and Jose Francisco and his wife, Mary, all of Florida; and many nieces and nephews, including Tony Martins with whom he had a special bond. Joao also leaves his cherished dogs, "Precious" and "Mudslide".  He was also the brother of the late Laurinda Martins, Diamantina Martins, Adriano Francisco, Eliza Martins, Maria Martins, and Antonio Francisco.

A visitation period was held on Friday, August 13th, in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed.
