Joao Franco Pimentel, 83, of Fall River, husband of Alice (Torres) Pimentel, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 in the comforts of his home following a brief illness. Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao Cabral Pimentel and the late Maria (Franco) Pimentel.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a Foreman for Rhode Island Nurseries for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also loved the New England Patriots, gardening, and traveling back to his homeland in the Azores. Most notably, Joao enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, he leaves his loving daughters, Marina D. Silva and her husband, Daniel, of Fall River, and Cynthia T. De Medeiros and her husband, Romeu, of Seekonk; his five grandchildren, Kyle Silva (wife, Brianna), Jessica Silva (husband, Johannes Toensing), Nicholas Silva, Adam De Medeiros, and Olivia De Medeiros; one great-grandson, James Kyle Silva; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nestor Pimentel.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 19th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
