Joao "Pintado" Carvalho, 89, formerly of Alden St., passed away Wednesday after a brief illness. Husband of Amelia (Oliveira) Carvalho. Born in Pilar Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel and Segunda Carvalho. Beloved father of Maria Fatima Rego and John Carvalho (with whom he resided). He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. He was laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery.
