Joao A. "Vinagre" Raposo, 70, formerly of Flint St., passed away Saturday after a long illness. Husband of Aurinete (DaSilva) Raposo. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Joao and Maria (Camara) Raposo. He worked at Quaker Fabrics for many years and played the drums for the Banda Nossa Senhora Conceicao Moisterense. Beloved father of Ana Lucia Mello, Claudio D. Raposo and Elisabete Medeiros; grandfather of Nicholas and Zachary Mello, Eliana and Dimitri Raposo, Chace and Vivian Medeiros; brother of Esaura Pavao, Pedro and Eduardo Raposo and the late Maria Hilario. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 28, in Espirito Santo Church. Private cremation followed.
