Joao L.M. Rodrigues, 62, of Fall River, husband of the late Mary G. (Furnas) Rodrigues, died at home Sunday 9/30/12 unexpectedly. Born in St Michael, Azores, son of the late Joao & Maria (Marques) Rodrigues, he emigrated to Fall River in 1965. A union laborer, Local # 271, he worked as a pipe layer for many years. He was a member of Fall River Sports Club. He leaves: 4 sons, Jerald L. & Louis S. Rodrigues both of Fall River, Robert F. & Joao M. Rodrigues both of Westport; 8 siblings, Mary Reis, Manuel Rodrigues, Adelina Cabral & Conceicao da Cruz all of Fall River, Lucia Medeiros & Samuel Rodrigues both of Tiverton, Jose Rodrigues & Gilda Simons both of New Bedford; 17 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Also father of the late Manuel S. Rodrigues. His Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 5, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
