Joao Santos, 53, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday after a short illness. Born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio & Maria da Gloria (do Rego Vital) dos Santos. An avid Benfica fan, he enjoyed fishing and animals. Father of Anita Mendes (husband – Samuel, Jr.) and Kevin Santos; grandfather of Amaya Julia Mendes; brother of Margarida Costa and the late Jose Santos. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 19, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
