Joaquim Novo, 81, the husband of Marie (Cruz) Novo passed away on November 6, 2018. He was born in Remedios de Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores. Joaquim was a son of the late Joao and the late Rosa (Mateus) Novo. In addition to his beloved wife of 58 years, he is survived by: 4 children Gale Marie Novo, Stephen Joaquim Novo, Lisa Ann Novo, Tanya Marie Oullette, and also as a son David Salvador all of Fall River; 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Kayce Jennifer, Jason and Joshua; 13 great grandchildren and is expecting another; 8 siblings, Manuel Novo of Fall River, Lucilia Oliveira of Port St. Lucie, FL, Messias Novo, Joe Novo, Rose Araujo, Teresa Pacheco, Fatima Ferreira all of Fall River, and Michael Novo of FL.  He was also the brother of the late Maria Rosa Simas and Joao Novo. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 13th, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
