Joe Pimentel, 57, of Dartmouth, husband of Renee (Fournier) Pimentel, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 8, 2024. Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of Manuel and Zelia (Resendes) Pimentel of Fall River, he emigrated to the U. S. in 1971.

A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School, Class of 1985, Joe was employed as the director of maintenance at the Fall River Housing Authority. In addition to being a foodie, enjoying mudslides and black raspberry ice cream, he loved his Camaro, traveling, racing pigeons (a member of the Fall River Racing Pigeon Club), 80s music, and getting together with family and friends.

A devoted husband and father, Joe loved his family more than anything else and was always so proud of his kids for all their accomplishments. Joe's wife was his soul mate – they had a marriage one could only dream of.

Besides his wife of 35 years, and parents, he is survived by: two children, Amanda Pimentel (companion Jared Ramunno) and Alec Pimentel both of Dartmouth; a brother, Lou Pimentel (wife Ana) of Naples, Florida; two nieces, Tara and Talya Pimentel; mother-in-law, Lorraine Fournier; and brother-in-law, Jason Fournier; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 16th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.
