John P. Aguiar, Jr., 88, of Tiverton, passed away Sunday unexpectedly. Husband of Edeline (Rodrigues) Aguiar. Born in Fall River, son of the late Joao and Maria Aguiar. A Navy veteran, John served in both WW II and Korea. He was a retired construction worker and a long-time member of the Liberal Club, where he bartended for several years. Besides his wife of 62 years, John leaves his sister, Leonora Silvia and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 16th, in St. Christopher Church in Tiverton followed by his committal with military honors at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
