Obituary

John 'Jack' Brouillard, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 27, 2010. He was the husband of Debra (Souza) Brouillard of Fall River. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict. John was a self-employed commercial lobsterman for seventy years. He began fishing as a child with his family aboard his father's boat, and as a young man he became captain of his own fishing vessel, the Janice B, named for his sister. For many years John would pilot a "Janice B" out of Westport Harbor until his retirement in 2005. He was also an avid hunter and former member of the Fall River Rod & Gun Club in Westport. In addition to his wife, Debra, surviving family members include his children, Jessica L. Brouillard, Joanna Brouillard, and Tiffany M. Brouillard, all of Fall River, Kenneth Brouillard of Maine, and Gail Beaugard of Pawtucket, RI, a brother, Joseph Brouillard of Westport, four grandchildren, Alex, Jessalee, Lucas and Caleb, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Lucas Brouillard and brother of the late George Brouillard, Janice Brouillard, Milton Brouillard, and Loretta Michaud. His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary's Cathedral. He was laid to rest at St. Patrick's Cemetery on Robeson Street in Fall River.
