John J. Cabral, 85 of Tiverton, entered into rest on April 30, 2008 after a long illness. Husband of Lillian (Luciano) Cabral to whom he was married for 62 years. Born in Tiverton, son of the late Manuel S. and Mary (Cambra) Cabral. He retired in 1981 as a custodian in the Tiverton School Department. Prior to that, he worked at the former Tiverton Gas Co. for many years. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus in Tiverton. He was the father of John C., Andrew J. and David M. Cabral, Father Clifford J. Cabral, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, Pascoag, RI, Anne Duval, Madeline Turcotte and Stephanie Silvia, brother of William Cabral and Mary Rogers. He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Christopher's Church, Tiverton. Pallbearers Peter Duval, Richard and Nicoles Silvia, Trish and Brittany Turcotte and Holly Silvia brought John to his final resting place at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
