John S. Gaspar, 82, formerly of Fawn Rd., Somerset, passed away Friday at Clifton Nursing Center. Husband of the late Helen (McCann) Gaspar. Born in Fall River, son of the late Henry and Maria (Rocha) Gaspar. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he went on to work for the former Fall River Gas Co. for over 40 years, retiring as supervisor of the rental water heater department. Father of Susan Charette (husband – John), Jeffrey P. Gaspar (wife – Jacqueline) and the late Christopher Gaspar; grandfather of Nathan (wife – Laura), Neil (wife – Stephanie), Greta and Graham. Brother of the late Arthur S. Gaspar and Mary C. Silva. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 5, in St. Thomas More Church followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
