John L. Medeiros, 81, of Fall River, passed away Saturday at home. Husband of Edna (S. Yousif) Medeiros. Born in Fall River, son of the late August and Maria Medeiros. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, John was the beloved father of Cheryl Chernecky, John A. Medeiros and Kristine DeMelo; grandfather of Lindsay and Kayla Chernecky, Zachary J. Medeiros, Kelsy and Tyler DeMelo; brother of Hilda Costa, Alice Byrd, Gilda Costa and the late Manuel L., Edmund L. and Gilbert L. Medeiros, Lydia Souza and Linda Dufresne. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
