John D. Massoud, 58, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2023, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Patricia A. (Morango) Massoud of Fall River and the late Clifford M. Massoud.

A member of the Teamsters Union, Local # 59, John was employed as a forklift operator for 35 years with Maritime Terminal in New Bedford. Seriously into drag racing, he had earned two national titles driving a Buick Gran Sport and was preparing for an upcoming race in Kentucky. John also enjoyed fishing and dirt bike riding, loved spending time with his cats, and was known for rescuing stray kitties.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Jeffrey P. Massoud of West Barnstable, and two nephews, Jeffrey C. Massoud and Ryan J. Massoud.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, May 16th, in Good Shepherd Parish Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.
