John T. Nogueira, Jr., 81, of Somerset, passed away Friday after a long illness. Husband of Claudette (Ouellette) Nogueira, to whom he was married for 59 years. Born in Fall River and raised in Westport, he was the son of the late John and Maria (Medeiros) Nogueira. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, John was a retired truck driver and a member of Teamsters' Local #526 and the VFW. Beloved father of Steven P. (wife-Sherry), Mark J. (wife-Carol), Paul R. (wife-Michelle) and John G. (wife-Sandy) Nogueira and Michelle M. Gagne-McAulay (husband-Kenneth McCaulay); brother of the late Manuel, Lionel and Paul Nogueira, Mary Baker and Rose Sexton. John also leaves 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, in St. Louis de France Church in Swansea followed by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery. www.silvafaria.com
