John Livingstone Peterson, 64, of Samson Ave, Somerset passed away Sunday, March 1 after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was husband of Rosemary E. (Walker) Peterson to whom he was married for 35 years. Born in Fall River, son of the late John L. and Olive (Broadhurst) Peterson. He moved to Somerset in August 1991. He was a retired Verizon employee. A former member of the Fall River Antique Auto Club, his specialty was Model A Fords. Besides his wife, he is survived by: his son, John L. Peterson, III of Tiverton; 2 daughters, Jill A. Peterson of CT and Amy Kristin Ferreira of Somerset; grandchildren, John L. Peterson, IV, Sophie Peterson, Nicoletta and John Amendola and Samantha Allie; several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Kenneth Lyne and father-in-law of the late Katherine (Couto) Peterson. His funeral arrangements by the Silva-Faria SOMERSET Funeral Home were private.
