John Santos Sr, 91, of Tiverton, husband of Alice (Silva) Santos, passed away on 11/4/13 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, son of the late Francisco & Mary (Simoes) Santos, he worked for Raytheon in Portsmouth, RI, for about 20 years – retiring in 1982. An avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, checkers, slot machines, and playing card games with family & friends. Besides his wife of 68 years, he leaves: 4 sons, John (wife Barbara), David (wife Helen), William (wife Nancy) & Ronald (wife Christine); 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Alfred Santos and Mary "Mamie" Quintal; several nieces & nephews. Also brother of the late Frank & James Santos. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, November 7, in St Theresa Church in Tiverton followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
