Obituary

John L. Viveiros, 92, of Fall River, husband of Albertina (Cabral) Viveiros, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at his eldest daughter's home in New Braintree, MA, surrounded by family. Born in Sao Vicente, Azores, a son of the late Jose Lima Viveiros and the late Mariana (Martins) Viveiros, he emigrated to Fall River in 1957 where he was a lifelong resident.

A hard-working individual, toiling as laborer in the construction industry for many years, he was employed with Damico Construction and Bee Fiberglass – retiring in 1990. John was a loving and beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed devoting his life to his family. He was also a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

In addition to his wife, of 64 years, he is survived by: four children, Lucia Camara (spouse Jeanine Dacri) of New Braintree, Dennis Viveiros (fiancée Olivia Necci) of Somerset, John Viveiros Jr (spouse Patricia) of Fall River, and Pauline Goncalves (spouse Victor) of Fall River; nine grandchildren, Nicole Fields, Elizabeth Camara, Robert Camara, Sean Yerger, Dustin Viveiros, John A. Viveiros, Patrick Viveiros, Nina Goncalves, and Victor A. Goncalves; seven great grandchildren, Christopher J, Fields, Ashton Bamford, Kierra Stuk, Landon Camara, Emmett Camara, Attikus Viveiros, and Koraline Viveiros; a brother, Jose Viveiros of Sao Vicente; and many nieces & nephews. He was also predeceased by six siblings.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 3rd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
