Jorgina dos Anjos, 93, of Fall River, widow of Luis Eugenio Medeiros, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep, at home on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Francisco Sousa Vital and the late Maria dos Anjos Vital, she emigrated to Fall River in 1990. Jorgina enjoyed reading, crocheting, and watching TV (especially game shows and telenovelas). Survivors include a son, Duarte Medeiros (wife Teresinha) of Fall River, and several nieces & nephews, including Andrea DeLima Lossing, who was like a granddaughter to her. Jorgina was also the sister of the late Katarina Alves. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 6th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
