Jose Borges, 57 of Fall River, the  husband  of Maria (Morgado) Borges, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020. Born in Vila Real, Portugal a son of the late Manuel and Ana (Machado) Borges.

He was a laborer for Larosa Construction for many years.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by: his 3 daughters, Jessica Borges and her husband Nelson Pereira of East Providence, Teresa Moniz and her husband Christopher of New Bedford, and Katie Borges of Fall River; 4 grandchildren, Ava Pereira, William Moniz, Amelia Moniz, and Bella Sousa.

He was the brother of Antonio Borges, Joaquin Borges, Leticia Alves and the uncle of several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Joaquim "Luis" Borges and Maria Alcina Taveira.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Joe was laid to rest on Tuesday, June 30th, with a private committal service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
