Jose Amânçio Cabral, the husband of Madalena (Medeiros), passed away Friday November 17, 2017 at home at the age of 70. Jose and Madalena shared fourty-six years of marriage. Jose was born in Agua Retorta, and was a son of the late Jose Ventura Cabral and Maria (Soares) Cabral. He was a member of F.C. Futbol Clube do Porto and was a member of the Don Carlos Club. Mr. Cabral served in the Army of Portugal for three years. Besides his wife, he leaves: his two children, Nelci Cabral-Rodrigues and her husband George Rodrigues of Tampa, Florida, and Brian Cabral and his fiancé Elizabeth Macedo of Dartmouth; a daughter-in-law, Melinda Cabral of Fall River; his three siblings, Nascimente Soares and her late husband Manuel of Swansea, Manuel Cabral and his wife Estrella of Fall River and Nicolau Cabral and his wife Anna of Dartmouth; a brother-in-law Antonio Cabral of Fall River; five grandchildren, Andrew Joseph Rodrigues, Jonathan Manuel Rodrigues, Emma Madeline Rodrigues, Autumn Rose Cabral, Maeve Joseph Cabral, and many nieces and nephews. Jose was the father of the late Joseph "Joey" Cabral. He was also brother of the late Maria C. Branco. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, November 22nd, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
