Jose P. "Sagrado" deMedeiros, 79, of Fall River, husband of the late Fernanda (Sardinha) Medeiros, died Tuesday at Charlton Memoral Hospital after a short illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Chicharro and Maria Medeiros Sardinha, he emigrated to Fall River in 1966. A union laborer, Local 22, he worked for Caprera Construction for many years, retiring in 1992, and was a member of the Don Carlos Club. He leaves: 2 sons, Manuel J. (wife Elisa) and Louis Medeiros, and a brother, Manuel Torres, all of Fall River; 3 grandchildren, Manuel & Adam Medeiros and Stephanie Moura; great grandson, Cameron; several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Arthur Chicharro and Maria Medeiros. His Funeral Mass was offered on Friday, December 3, St Anthony of Padua Church followed committal services at St. Patrick Cemetery.
