Jose DeMedeiros, of Fall River, passed away in Charlton Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 15, 2017 surrounded by his family. Jose was the husband of Hirondina (Sousa) DeMedeiros. Jose was born in Pilar de Bretanha and was a son of the late Jose and Helena (Araujo) Medeiros.  He had been employed by Lightolier in Fall River. Besides his wife of fifty six years, he leaves: his two daughters, Maria Natividade Cabral and her husband Antonio of Fall River and Teresa Mauricio and her husband Jorge of Westport; four grandchildren; Kelly Marques, Christine Cabral, Stephanie Mauricio and Kyle Mauricio and one great grandchild Rowyn Marques. Mr. DeMedeiros was the brother of Manuel Medeiros of Dartmouth, Natalia Senra of Fall River, Miguel Medeiros of Pilar de Bretanha, Maria Costa of Fall River, and Gabriel Medeiros of Fall River. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Jose was the brother of the late David Medeiros and the late Julieta Oliveira.  His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 19th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal and entombment at the  Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
